ULTRA RARE Factory [0138] Stamped Receiver SKS Type 56 – All Matching – 1971 Experimental
For the serious military surplus collector.
This is a museum-grade Chinese Type 56 SKS from Factory [0138], featuring the incredibly rare stamped sheet-metal receiver.
Produced only during a brief experimental window in 1970–1971, these rifles are distinguished by their rivet-construction receivers (see photos). Most were destroyed or heavily used; finding one in this "time capsule" condition is nearly impossible.
- Variant: Stamped Receiver (Double-Rivet trunnion).
- Year: 1971 (7-million serial).
- Condition: Mint/Unissued. The arsenal bluing is deep and original. The (refinished) Chu-wood stock is pristine with matching serial.
- Matching Numbers: 100% Matching. Receiver, Bolt, Carrier, Magazine, Trigger Guard, and Stock all share the serial 4363.
- Bore: Mirror-bright, chrome-lined, sharp rifling.
- Bayonet: Correct spike (cruciform) bayonet.
This is a cornerstone piece for any SKS or Cold War collection. It has been meticulously preserved and represents a unique chapter in Chinese firearms development.
Price: $1,800
