If you’re looking to own one Mosin for your collection, this might be the perfect choice. Not only is this nearly 100 year old rifle all matching serials, with an excellent bore, an early Hex Tula receiver, but it this is a rare experimental/transitional rifle know as the “Panshin”.
The Panshin refers to the front sight (an experimental, integral blade/hood design) was only produced for a brief window in the early 1930s. Finding a 1933 rifle that retains this configuration—and is also full matching in this condition is quite rare, as most were converted to the standard 91/30 pattern post-war.
