This is a 1953 Russian Izhevsk in excellent condition. It has been fully parkerized by state arsenal. Serials are matching except magazine and the carrier has been force matched. Stock is quite shiney and I presume it was refinished at some point.
The Izhevsl arsenal only produced limited numbers of these SKS during 1953 and 1954. Much less were produced during 1953.
