Original Factory Ross Model 1905 Sporter – Tiger Flame Maple

For the discerning collector of Canadian firearms, this is a factory Ross 1905 Sporter. To be clear: this is not a cut-down or "sporterized" military surplus rifle. This is an original, purpose-built civilian sporting rifle from the Ross Rifle Co. of Quebec.

The most striking aspect of this rifle is the stock. It features incredible "Tiger Stripe" figuring that runs the length of the buttstock and through the forend.

• Bore: Condition is Very Good to Excellent. The rifling is strong, crisp, and bright—well above average for a rifle of this vintage.

• Action: The legendary straight-pull action is smooth and fast.

• Magazine: Features the authentic Harris-type magazine floorplate/internals, a mechanical hallmark of the Ross design.

The rifle has been exceptionally well-preserved. The metal finish shows a beautiful natural patina consistent with age, and the wood finish remains vibrant, highlighting the deep "tiger" curls in the grain.
