 First-Year VKT Production: The barrel shank proudly displays the crisp, clear VKT diamond logo over the 1941 date. First-year guns are highly prized by collectors for their historical significance and exceptional early-contract build quality.

 Finnish Matching Bolt: The bolt handle knob is stamped ⁠4927⁠, perfectly matching the last four digits of the receiver/barrel serial number (⁠34927⁠) in correct Finnish fashion.

 Essential Military Proofs: Features a crisp ⁠D⁠ stamp indicating the chamber is properly cleared for the heavy D-166 cartridge, built on a robust, classic hex receiver.

Condition Report

 Stock: Good surplus condition with genuine character. The Finnish arctic birch stock shows standard battlefield/transit dents, dings, and scrapes expected of an authentic service rifle. However, the wood remains completely sound, with a deep finish, highly defined grain, and perfectly tight, intact finger-joint splicing. No structural cracks or active damage.

 Bore: Outstanding. The bore is exceptionally bright with sharp, deep, and distinct rifling lines. It has a brilliant mirror finish, completely free of the dark frosting common to surplus rifles of this era.
