Up for sale is a beautiful, investment-quality Finnish M39 bolt-action rifle. This particular piece is a highly sought-after "B" Barrel variant dated 1942, making it a scarcer find for serious surplus collectors.

The Details & Rarity

Belgian "B" Barrel Shank: The barrel shank features the crisp, prominent "B" stamp, indicating the barrel blank was manufactured in Belgium by FN before being completed and assembled by the Finns. These barrels are legendary for their superior steel quality and exceptional accuracy.

Complete Military Stamping: Fully marked with the iconic Finnish Army [SA] property stamp, a clear D chamber modification stamp (optimized for the heavy D-166 cartridge), and a clean 1942 production date on a classic hex receiver.

Finnish Matching Bolt: The bolt handle knob is stamped 5890, properly matching the last four digits of the barrel serial number (45890) in standard Finnish military fashion.

Condition Report

Wood Stock: Stunning, premium condition. The stock features rich, deep coloration with spectacular grain contrast and crisp transitions. The handguard, finger-joint splicing, and wood contours are completely solid, free of major gouges or cracks, and present beautifully. This wood is absolutely mint.

Bore: Excellent condition. The rifling is incredibly sharp, deep, and distinct, with a bright, clean reflective finish.

Metalwork: Strong, deep original bluing remains across the barrel and hex receiver, showing only honest, minimal high-edge wear from service.
