*If you are trying to decide between the Trapper and the SBL, the reality is that if you are target shooting or hunting with a 357 lever action it will almost certainly be within 100 yards, so there is no need to put a scope on it. The Skinner peep sight and front sight on the Trapper that I own provides excellent accuracy and it is one of my favourite lever actions.
Fun to shoot! Nice dark laminate stock and handles both 357 mag and 38 special. Much cheaper to shoot and more manageable recoil than its big brother in 45-70, but still with a high quality fit n' finish!
