Sommer + Ockenfuss GmbH was a short-lived German firearms manufacturer known for inventing unique straight-pull, slide-action bullpup rifles.

Company History

• Active Years: The company operated from 1998 to roughly 2002.
• Debut: They introduced their rifles in 1998 at the SHOT Show in Las Vegas and the IWA show in Nuremberg, Germany.
• Rarity: Manufacturing costs were extremely high, leading to low commercial success and a very limited production run. Experts estimate that fewer than 100 units of specific variants, like the "Shorty" or Wilderness models, were made for worldwide sales. 

Unique Rifle Design

• Pistol Grip Pump Action: The user cycles the action by pushing and pulling the pistol grip forward and backward.
• No Broken Cheek Weld: This sliding mechanism lets the shooter chamber a new round without lifting their cheek off the stock.
• Bullpup Layout: The action sits far back in the stock, keeping the overall rifle length short while maintaining a long barrel.
• Aluminum Frame: The internal receiver is built around a lightweight aluminum alloy frame shaped like an "H".
• Chamberings: Models were produced for sporting, hunting, and tactical use in various calibers, including .300 Win Mag, .30-06, and .308.
