Czech vz. 24 rifle, believed to date from the 1930s based on the serial number. Manufactured at the Brno arsenal and chambered in 8mm Mauser. The rifle is non-matching but otherwise remains in its original military configuration.
The rifle shows honest service wear. The handguard has one small crack running through it; however, the crack is fairly shallow and does not appear to affect the structural integrity of the handguard. The stock has numerous small dings and scratches consistent with its age and use.
The bolt operates smoothly and has been disassembled and cleaned. The bore appears considerably better than the exterior condition would suggest, with strong, clearly visible rifling and an overall good appearance. The metal parts show some patina but are generally in very good condition.
I have fired approximately 40 non corrosive rounds through the rifle and had consistent hits on 12-inch steel plates at both 100 and 200 yards.
