Big Horn Armory Model 89.
500 Smith & Wesson.
Special order 22 inch barrel and fancy walnut.
Equipped with the Big Horn Armory Logo Rhodesian Sling (costs $125 USD). I can remove the sling but the price will be the same with or without it so don't bother asking. If you have never used this type of sling before, you will thank me later. Do your research.
Comes with the factory hard case and all the factory paperwork. Big Horn Armory sells guns in an aftermarket hard case from the factory, they do not come in a box.
Never hunted with. Total of three boxes over several range visits. Beautiful condition with fantastic wood. Very minor handling marks as per the pictures.
This is a special order gun with a 22 inch barrel. This gives the gun a classic Winchester look of a Model 71. I am not a fan of a truncated short barrel on a classic lever gun.
This gun comes with proper open sights. You can buy a different Model 89 with a Picatinny rail and mount a scope. You can also put lipstick on a pig.
If you are just looking for any Model 89, you may find something else cheaper. Something with an 18 inch barrel and plain wood. If you do not know what flame and fiddleback are, this is probably not the gun for you. Wood men pay for wood.
Call your gun shop and ask how much a Model 89 with a 22 inch barrel and fancy walnut will cost you to order. That number will start with a six. After tax, possibly a seven.
$4500 with shipping included.
