Selling my Polish 1953 M44 mosin carbine. Per my knowledge these rifles were made by Radom (see Circle 11 barrel stamp) as part of a postwar contract to keep the factory running.

The rifle came to me unfired and unissued, with matching serial numbers on all but the stock buttplate, a very smooth action, and a pristine bore. It has a deep blueing and its stock is in perfect condition save for some faded blueing on the buttplate. The only cosmetic issue of note is that one of the original leather “dog collars” attaching the issued sling (included with this rifle) broke, and so I replaced it with paracord.

Since then it has only fired non corrosive ammo (approximately 200 rounds) and kept in a dry safe. There is no rust, pitting, or other damage to the rifle.

Included for this price is the following:

  1. The issued sling
  2. 1 Soviet ammunition pouch (holds 6 clips of ammo)
  3. 14 original Russian made stripper clips
  4. 305 rounds of non-corrosive Barnaul ammunition (45 loose, 220 in paper packaging, 40 in original box)
  5. 269 rounds Chicom corrosive surplus (49 loose, 220 in original paper packaging, used only in my beater mosin)
  6. 13 rounds softpoint PPU hunting ammo
  7. 8 rounds softpoint S&B hunting ammo

Shipping is not available for this rifle due to the difficulty of shipping ammunition in bulk. I would be happy to provide any more pictures or information you require.
