FN K98 action, this Vintage ’98 action 9.3x57 with extended safety, made in 1938 Husqvarna

Vintage ’98 action 9.3x57 with extended safety made in 1938 Husqvarna using a Swedish barrel on Belgian made action.

This K-98 Commercial Husqvarna with FN made receiver built 1938, is equipped with factory iron sights. It is drilled and tapped on the side for the typical side mount. The holes are blanked at the moment but I do have a side mount if wanted.

The bolt handle is modified to clear a large scope, and to clear a large scope, an extended to the rear safety lever was added.(If a buyer wants a regular military style flag safety I will install one)

The trigger has long travel then very light release, so probably polished sear.

The bore is bright, with some wear but not to affect accuracy.  Lands and grooves are sharp.

We can see someone shortened the butt then put back the piece he cut off. The stock is otherwise great, with zero cracks. I mounted a REMINGTON butt pad as I like these due to their metal plate. Gun looks good. 

The 9.3x57 is a necked up 8x57. This was created as a short range brush busting round. The diameter is 0.366”. Brass is easily made (or bought), if you take 8x57 (8 mm Mauser) brass and run it through the dies, you have 9.3 x 57. The bump from 0.323” to 0.366” goes well, even if you don’t anneal the neck. 

I have bullets, dies, brass if interested, but these are available everywhere now. 

I avoid bargaining but instead price sensibly then if needed slowly lower the price.
