Long scope ‘98 commercial Husqvarna

This is an interesting Husqvarna commercial M98 in 9.3x62mm. The front scope mount is on the barrel, so as to accommodate a very long scope. 
The bore is bright and sharp, bolt face has no erosion . It has an odd tripod made with brass legs. The safety is one I have never seen before, with sophisticated features (the thing that captivates it is with a machine screw - have never seen before ).  Front and Rear sights are factory type and present. With see through rings these iron sights could be used. The  trigger has been tuned so it has no creep and a light release. The stock has the typical axial (not across) shrinkage crack on top behind the action which was drilled (hidden, doesn’t show) and a wood dowel epoxied with vacuum assist.  I will shoot two boxes to prove the strength and stability as soon as I can get it to the range. There is also a chip behind bolt slot I have placed epoxy into but will improve more later on.

The bolt ball is on a bearing, which is nice. 
The scope is an inexpensive weaver but is clear. 
An interesting rifle. The 9.3x62 is a very odd target calibre so I guess the original owner set it up for some sort of longer range use. Please send your postal code for a shipping quote and your email address for higher resolution photos.
