Offered here is a 1952 Hungarian M44 Mosin-Nagant carbine, manufactured by FÉG (Fegyver- és Gépgyár) of Budapest.
This rifle retains the correct Hungarian military configuration, including the original side-folding bayonet, proper M44 rear sight, and matching Hungarian serial number format with a BD-prefix receiver. Numerous 02 / B02 Hungarian acceptance and inspection marks remain visible on both the metal components and stock.
All major components appear correct to the rifle and consistent with Hungarian military production. Please note that the bolt serial number does not match the receiver, while the remaining components and stock retain proper Hungarian markings.
The stock shows honest military service wear with no structural issues noted. Metal finish remains in solid condition, and the bore is strong with sharp, well-defined rifling.
Compared to the far more common Soviet M44 carbines, Hungarian-produced examples are encountered less frequently and are increasingly sought after by collectors of Cold War and Mosin-Nagant military rifles.
