Offered here is an original Imperial Russian Mosin-Nagant Model 1891 infantry rifle, manufactured in 1917 at the Sestroretsk Arsenal, one of the primary arsenals that produced rifles for the Russian Empire during the First World War period. Rifles from the Sestroretsk factory are encountered less frequently than those from Izhevsk or Tula, making them a particularly interesting example for collectors of Imperial Russian military arms.

The receiver retains the correct hexagonal receiver profile, a hallmark of Mosin-Nagant rifles produced during the Imperial Russian era. The barrel shank is clearly marked with the Sestroretsk Arsenal crest and the 1917 date, representing late-Imperial production during the final year of Tsarist Russia.

This rifle remains in the classic full-length M1891 infantry configuration, including the long barrel, military stock, and the updated Konovalov rear sight pattern associated with later Imperial service rifles. The overall appearance preserves the historical character of a World War I-era Russian service rifle.

The bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling, indicating good internal condition. Mechanically the rifle presents solidly and the overall structure remains intact, making it a well-preserved example of an early Mosin-Nagant pattern rifle.

Imperial Russian Mosin-Nagant rifles produced before the Russian Revolution represent an important chapter in military history, having served through the First World War and the turbulent transition period that followed. Surviving examples bearing Imperial arsenal markings and Tsarist-era production dates continue to attract strong interest from collectors worldwide.
