This is an outstanding example of a Polish-manufactured M44 Mosin-Nagant carbine, presented in excellent overall condition. According to the original owner, this rifle was never fired and remains unissued, making it a highly desirable piece for collectors seeking originality and condition.

This rifle retains all matching serial numbers, including the receiver, bolt, magazine floorplate, and buttplate, confirming a correct factory-matched configuration. The metal finish is exceptionally well preserved, with deep, even bluing and minimal signs of handling. The wood stock is clean and solid, with sharp edges and crisp contours, showing no structural issues.

Notably, the stock bears the correct Polish “OW” military acceptance stamp, indicating official military inspection and acceptance. This marking confirms the stock as an original Polish military stock, not a later replacement or refurbishment component, and is consistent with the rifle’s unissued condition.

The bore is bright with strong, sharp rifling and no visible pitting, consistent with minimal to no use. The folding bayonet is intact and functions correctly, and the rifle remains in its original military configuration throughout.

Polish M44 carbines are widely regarded as some of the highest-quality M44 variants produced, known for superior machining, finish, and overall build quality compared to many other post-war M44 producers. True all-matching examples in this level of condition, especially with correct Polish acceptance markings, are becoming increasingly difficult to find on the Canadian market.
