Savage Model 64

This beautiful rifle started life as a Cooey 64, but after dealing with several issues, I decided to give it a proper upgrade.

I went on the hunt for a Savage 64 action with very little use and eventually found the perfect one. The Savage 64 action has less than 500 rounds fired through it.

I carefully fitted the Savage action into the beautiful original Cooey wooden stock, making the necessary modifications to get everything fitting just right. I also upgraded the charging handle to finish it off.

Sitting on top is a beautiful Bushnell R3 3-9x40mm DZ22 BDC scope, which complements the rifle perfectly and completes the setup.

The end result is a unique rifle that combines the classic look and feel of the Cooey wooden stock with a low-round-count Savage 64 action and a quality Bushnell optic. A lot of time and attention went into putting everything together, and it turned out beautifully.
