This is a Spanish Mauser Model 1943 Short Rifle chambered in 8mm Mauser (8x57 IS), presented in good overall condition and retaining its original military configuration.

The rifle features a matching visible serial number set, including bolt and receiver, which adds to its overall collector appeal. The receiver ring is marked with the Spanish crest, still visible and well-defined.

Metal surfaces retain a consistent blued finish with honest service wear and handling marks throughout, consistent with a military-issued rifle. There are no signs of modern refinishing, and the rifle presents with a proper surplus character.

The rifle is equipped with a blade front sight with protective ears and ramp, along with an adjustable U-notch rear sight. It retains the correct straight bolt handle configuration.
