Up for grabs is a Type 99 Arisaka with bayonet, both "Last Ditch"
The rifle is all original and a Vet bring back from battlefield. The Mum was scrubbed which means surrendered. according to the serial numbers this is a rifle made circa 1944-1945, especially 1945 I assume.
Wood has typical " duffle cut" under the second barrel band but was held tight by the nose cap, a little wiggle room back and forth due to shruken of the wood. Note there is a side crack on the side of the stock which I suppose was from the factory assembly line. Typical wood buttplate held by 3 nails, rifle is chambered in 7.7 JAP. Still a lot of hand filling marks on the semi pistol grip. Very interesting learning material and definitely something hard to find.
All metal pieces are original, rifling is surprisingly good which seen very little usage. The bayonet is a Jinsen arsenal blade with original finish, missing the standard late war "Bamboo" scarbbard, but overall still good collcetion piece.
Asking 2199 plus shipping if needed.
