Offered for sale is a Yugoslavian SKS M59/66 semi-automatic rifle, chambered in 7.62×39mm and featuring a 22-inch barrel. Manufactured by Zastava, the M59/66 variant represents the most distinctive evolution of the SKS platform, originally equipped with an integrated grenade launching system.

This example has had the grenade launcher assembly professionally removed, resulting in a cleaner front-end profile and improved handling characteristics compared to the standard M59/66 configuration.

The rifle is in good overall surplus condition, showing typical service wear consistent with military use. The wood stock displays handling marks, dings, and character throughout, with a well-preserved finish and strong grain visible. The metal surfaces retain a uniform finish with light wear in high-contact areas, as shown in the photos.

The bore appears bright with visible rifling, and the rifle presents as a solid shooter-grade example.

This rifle is mismatched, which is commonly encountered with Yugoslavian SKS rifles due to arsenal refurbishment and long service life. As such, it represents an accessible entry point into SKS collecting while maintaining full functionality.

Unlike Russian SKS rifles, Yugoslavian models are known for their non-chrome-lined barrels, offering a slightly different shooting and maintenance experience that appeals to many collectors and enthusiasts.

Overall, this is a straightforward, honest M59/66with desirable configuration changes that improve usability while retaining its Cold War military character.
