Savage 29a Take Down Pump Rifle in 22LR
Offered for sale is my Savage 29a Take Down pump action rifle, dating from the late 1940's. The action is excellent and the rifle functions as it should. It has a 23 inch barrel, and the bluing is fading with some nice patina, but no rust and no scratches. It has a tube feed magazine, and handles 22 short, long and long rifle shells. The bore is bright with no issues. The butt pad is original and shows a minimum of wear. The wood stocks have been nicely refinished, and it looks like hand cut checkering on the wrist and fore-end. It's not easy to find these today in this good condition. This rifle was completely serviced by Vulcan Firearms in Maidstone, Ont. and functions perfectly.
Reason for selling: Old Man Time has decided that I will not be "out and about" in the wild places anymore...
