1865 Snider Cavalry Carbine

1865 Snider Cavalry Carbine, stamped “Steel” on the barrel. Not a cut-down rifle.
Caliber: .577 Snider, Made in England.
Excellent condition. Barrel is very good. Shoots well, not rusted. Tight lock-up action. All original.
Sight cover replaced, as the original fell apart.
As you can see, the wood is not banged up or “Bubba’d” by some backyard guy. I can fix it with a hammer, though!
Bluing has now browned with age. (Did you hit your head?! Do not reblue it, or I won’t sell it to you.)
Why sell? Old and grumpy, and it’s time to downsize, as liberals may prohibit all Sniders because of the extended magazine and rapid reloading. (First rifle I was issued, and now RCMP.)
No unit markings.
I have had it for 45 years.
Looking for a good home.
Comes with 20 rounds of modern, reloadable brass. Loads are reduced smokeless.
No massive British smash-carbine recoil.
