NO TRADES. The French ordered these rifles from Remington in 1914 for rear troops. Last generation of the Remington Rolling Block with the upgraded steel receiver for strength. Caliber is 8x50R Lebel and it is still available from retailers (PPU). 30 inch barrel has a very nice bore. Strong rifling and good shine to it. Sights appear original. Bluing still looks decent. The full stock has been cut back and the one loop moved rearwards. Some decorative trench artwork on the left side of the grip. Action is tight and crisp and everything looks to be in order. I haven’t personally fired it. I was going to keep this for a custom 45-70 build but it’s too nice of an original to cut up. Do your research on line for these as they are uncommon and don’t turn up often. $1000 FIRM PLUS ACTUAL SHIPPING. PAL will be validated online with the CFC. Local pick up may be possible in Oshawa at 401. If C Post strikes I can ship with other couriers.
