This is a beautiful BSA Long Lee rifle built by BSA in 1896. The buttstock has MD cartouche indicates Canadian military use. Front and rear volley sight present. Magazine is correct with ring attachment. Clearing rod is also there which normally been removed. Regiment info on the buttplate tang. Rear sight has been replaced with fully adjustable target sight made by Sutherland Rifle Sight Co in NS. Both wood and metal are in good condition, some loss on blue finish, no rust or pitting. Only one small end crack at the tip of handguard, no other damage except some handling marks on the wood. I haven’t shot it but action works very well. Bore is excellent shining with clean, crisp rifling. See Flicker album for details. believe it will be a great shooter. See all details in Flicker album. Asking $2000, shipping on buyer if needed.
