The model 670A was made by Winchester in New Haven Connecticut between 1972 and 1979 as the budget version of the Model 70. This used Model 670A is chambered in 30-06 Springfield and is in very good condition. It's all metal, there is no plastic on the rifle.
The rifle features: a reliable push feed action, a three position bolt mounted safety (like the Model 70), a blind magazine hardwood stock with checkering, raised comb and cheekpiece, a new Decelerator butt pad, a 22" barrel, a threaded muzzle ready for a brake, threaded holes for iron sights with filler screws present, Weaver scope bases and the original old style sling swivels on the stock.
The bore is clean with good rifling. The wood and metal are very good (see the photo for a mark on the barrel). It functions as it should and shoots very accurately.
