Very decent example of a 61 octagon 24” , last year produced C1946 . .22 LR . ( single cal marked a bit of a scarcity ) have loaded and cycled and fired shorts out of it as well . Everything is correct save n except 4 very clean DT’s for a scope base which has a vintage Highly desirable Kollmorgen Corp. North Hampton Mass. “ Bear Cub “ 4x fine crosshairs w single target dot . Vintage Weaver USA rings . ( C 1950’s)
The rifle retains a significant amount of original blue w an underlying “ haze “ of previous surface poor storage . I see absolutely NO evidence of cold blue being applied . Mechanics and bore are A1 . Serial numbers match . The blue on the trigger guard and lower section has worn off from “ carry “ ? And or the typical Winchester premature wear when they changed the blue process . Markings are crisp . Wood is very clean NO cracks or chips . Left side of pump has a few marks .
