Amazing shape early war K98. Function tested 5 shots, very accurate, 75 yards less than 2in groups open sights. Cleaned perfectly and waxed. This rifle is like new ***1937 ***S42, Oberndorf factory. A prefix,German army issued. Capture screws all present, all screws numbered and match. Probably a guard duty rifle that didnt really see any action. Then was re issued after war to german border guard, so it is a dual issue. Bore is perfect, no cracks in wood anywhere. All matching serial numbers, except sight,all wood including upper hand guard,barrel bands,bolt,extractor,floor plate,right down to the screws and firing pin. Regular war issue, period correct sling aswell. One of first laminate stocks.
