Dropped price. I have for sale a very rare 1957 CZ Brno Model 5 with a low serial number (0015X).
The rifle is in very good condition with no rust. There are a few unfortunate modifications to the rifle that I want to disclose. The first is the bolt handle was modified (ground/machined) for low scope mounting. The modified bolt handle is original to the rifle and is engraved with the last two digits of the serial number. The second is that the stock has a second sling swivel hole drilled near the forend of the stock. The third is that stock is refinished (very tastefully but I'm not sure what was applied to it) but it doesn't retain the original oil finish anymore. These can all be observed in the photos.
EDIT: It might actually be oil finished. I'm no expert but I may have been quick to judge it as not oil finished.
The only trades I would be interested in is for a Brno ZG47 in 270 win or a Brno ZG47 in 30-06 with a carbine (short) length barrel. Depending on condition of the rifle, I can add cash or take cash.
