The Olympia was designed in post-WWII Italy, when every major European army was searching for ways to make training efficient, affordable, and practical for new recruits. The somewhat unique trick with these is that they can be fired as a bolt action or a semi auto simply by flipping to bolt into a locked position. Olympias are known for their high quality and reliability with a floating target barrel and extremely accurate sights. I’ve used this one for bullseye shoots out to 100 yds as a bolt action. It has an adjustable trigger , scope mounts and a plate on the forestock for a bipod (all factory items) and other features which honestly make me believe some of these were meant to be competition rifles rather than military rifles. The wood on this one is beautiful with the rare montecarlo stock. Only one other rifle (made by Mauser) has this unique type of dual action. Berettaweb has additional information and manuals.
I’m only selling this to go towards a Browning Buckmark.
