  • The barrel and action are the U.S. Model of 1917.
  • The action is unique as it has the claw type extractor as on the Mauser 98, but has the “cock-on-close” like the Lee-Enfield. 
  • It is chambered in 30-06.
  • The barrel length is 23½ inches.
  • The barrel has been threaded to accept the included muzzle brake.
  • The Monte Carlo style stock shows some marks indicative as to its age.
  • The stock has a black tip at the forend with a white line spacer.
  • The stock has a red recoil pad with a white line spacer.
  • The metal work shows no signs of rust or corrosion; however the bluing shows some minor wear marks.
  • The bore shows no signs of rust or corrosion.
  • The rifling shows some wear but remains defined.
  • The rifle is equipped with a Bushnell Banner 2.5 power scope.
  • The rifle has the “Flaming Bomb” is the insignia of the U.S. Army Ordinance Corps. On a military rifle, it serves as a U.S. government property and acceptance proof mark, indicating the rifle successfully passed final military inspection.
  • The rifle was manufactured in February of 1918 by Winchester.
  • Overall this is a unique firearm.
