Winchester Model 1894 .32-40 Lever action .
This firearm has a low serial number; 187439 . It was made July 25, 1903 and is verified by a letter of authenticity from the Cody Firearms Museum that comes with the firearm.
The .32-40 is a rarer caliber. It features the full octagon barrel and full length magazine tube. Fewer were made of them.
The metal and wood has been refurnished. It looks great. The action is very tight and cycles smoothly. There is no rattle in it at all.
The action was inspected and cleaned by a certified gunsmith. Shoots well.
The bore is dark and pitted. It shows age but the rifling is visible and as such shoots well considering.
There is a wrist pin in the stock.
Overall, for a 122 year old rifle that was used and hunted with, it’s great.
