This Model 1891 Cavalry Carbine was manufactured by Brescia in 1912. The barrel matches the receiver (both stamped 8140 underneath the wood), and the stock matches the barrel (both marked with serial M52). The bolt has no serial number, and the small parts are non-matching but tend to match themselves. Cleaning rods are present in the butt-trap. Features early style bayonet latch.

Rifle shows heavy use, has wear and patina consistent with it's age and service, but I don't see any damage anywhere. The condition can be seen in the photos.

I have shot 20 rounds of PPU ammo through this rifle. These carbines weren't known for their accuracy, but it's a lot of fun to shoot and everything functions as it should. Asking $375 for this piece of Italian history. I prefer a local sale, but I am willing to ship on the buyer's dime, anywhere in Canada for $425 shipped. Will also consider trades for other WWI or WWII era rifles +/- cash if needed.
