Originally manufactured as a Mosin-Nagant M1891 by Izhevsk in 1894 (original Izhevsk bow and arrow seen on the bottom tang of receiver along with date 1894F) only three years after it's design in 1891.

Like nearly all Russian M1891's, it was rebuilt into a Model 91/30 at arsenal Izhevsk in 1933 (newer Izhevsk triangle arrow seen on bottom tang of receiver along with date 1933 stamped over the original date) only three years after the design modifications of 1930. During the upgrade to a M91/30, it received a new barrel which is also stamped in the usual place with the Izhevsk triangle arrow and date 1933.

Lastly, like nearly all Russian 91/30's, it went through a refurbishment following WWII. This rifle is considered all-matching since refurbishment. The barrel, bolt, and butt plate match, and the floor plate is a stamped force-match.

The stock has been tastefully restored (no flaky shellac on this one) by the previous owner in a way that maintains a natural/original esthetic. This rifle has lived through two world wars and two rebuilds, yet remains in beautiful condition with no rust or pitting.

I shot this rifle 12 years ago and it functions and shoots as it should. It has been in my safe ever since, so up it goes. Asking $775 for this beautiful piece of Russian history. I prefer a local sale, but I am willing to ship on the buyer's dime, anywhere in Canada for $850 shipped. Will also consider trades for other WWI or WWII era rifles +/- cash if needed.
