Heckler & Koch (HK) 940 in 30-06

Heckler & Koch (HK) Model 940 in 30-06. Serial #09378 - Manufactured in 1989.

Confirmed with RCMP and Firearms Reference Number (FRN): 5042 (page 43398 of 107921) the rifle is classified as NON-RESTRICTED.

Gun comes with 2 clips. Both are 3 shot clips.

Comes with original HK Factory Claw Quick Removable Scope Mount with 1” rings and Leupold Vari-X III 2.5-8x36 with duplex reticle. Scope has good clarity.

Previous owner changed the sling studs to quick detach. Front one is done well, but they installed the back on straight instead of on an angle.  I made sure to include a picture of this.

Front 3” (approx.) of barrel can be unscrewed and a factory muzzle brake, etc. can be installed. I have not unscrewed the end.  There is a little rust on the one side of the front sight.

Number of rounds fired is unknown as it was used when I purchased it. Shot 2 coyotes that came flying out of a run while deer hunting. The rule is… once a gun kills something… it goes in the safe. Have owned the gun for approximately 2 years.

Selling because have WAY too many “toys” and need to start thinning the herd. Also have a HK 770 in 308 Win that I am selling and could do a combo deal. See other ads (going to try and list of some). Please… No low-ball offers! I spend way too much time here looking, dealing and buying on guns. I am not a dealer just a guy who has an addiction problem – according to the very ANNOYING and unfortunately correct wife!!

Price may seem high but the guns themselves without mount or extra clip are/were (as you very seldom find any 940s for sale) selling for $3,000-$3,250. Original HK scope mount is worth $600-$750, extra clip is worth $250-$300 and scope is worth $450-$500 (and I have no problem keeping the scope for other guns).
