This is my go to rifle, a Sauer 90 chambered in 300 Win Mag. All my moose, elk, red deer, and African game have fallen to this rifle. It is very accurate and features the Sauer 90 super smooth bolt, which truly must be felt to be believed. This is the first of six Sauer 90s I bought in the 80s, and is the one that made me a believer. I am old enough now, though, that I prefer the lesser recoil of the 30.06.
The Leica ER3i 2.5-10X42 scope completes the package. It has an illuminated German 4A reticle. I also have an extra four round magazine.
As this rifle has been in the field on three continents, it has a few light nicks in the wood, and there is one slightly discolored patch on the barrel (visible in last photo). None of these are significant and sure do not affect how this thing shoots. I estimate, based on my notes, that I have fired around 130 rounds. This calibre is not a range rifle!
