Would you like to add something to your collection that you (or your friends) will almost certainly never have seen and certainly have never shot? Now is your chance.
Chambered in the EXCEPTIONALLY RARE 22 Hi-Power cartridge, this is classic and highly collectible. The term gets thrown around a lot but this is literally a once in a lifetime offer, in excellent condition both visually and mechanically.
- Savage Model 99
- Chambered in 22 Hi-Power (A.K.A. 5.6×52mmR in Europe)
- 70 grain bullets launched at 2,800 fps!
- 20" barrel
- Hammerless lever action, side eject
- 6+1 capacity
- Walnut stock and fore end
- Rotary magazine w/cartridge counter (see pic!!!)
- Cocking indicator
- Serial number dates it to 1920
- Williams peep sight (gunsmith installed).
- The bore is in excellent condition as this has been valued for it collectability and only shot on rare occasions.
It was designed to be a travelling gun and takes down simply. It originally came with a .410 barrel that could be easily swapped out, sadly, I do not have it. Those for sale that do have this barrel with it are listing for over $4,500.
This model of rifle can easily be found in .300 Savage, but not 22 Hi-Power.
