Antique Status Rolling Block. No pal. No transfer. 50 CAL metric or whatever, 50-70 just barely doesn't work and yes you can ream to 50-70 it's still antique qualifying and the 1867/1873 are all antique in 50-70 & 12.7
Memory states the barrel is well rifled and near excellent. Bore pics coming Tues Jan 13.
$550 + Actual shipping Expedited with Card for pickup OR Do not safe drop. Believe it's oversized even with the buttstock off
$475 plus ship without the Repro Buttstock. Buttstocks on average are $100-200 whether OEM or Repro.
Essentially 80-90% complete. Yes it's stamped 1867 or 1873 on the right I don't remember which it is.
The shotguns are not because of the calibers. The later receiver rifles are not because they aren't pre 1898 receivers.
At any rate. What you get. A nice original barrel, a sight or two. An original hammer. 3/5 reciever screws.
**Reproduction block with no firing pin channel that is your choice if safe to use or not. Cut for rf or CF yourself , I don't care. The buttstock is reproduction and $75 off if you don't want it, will require rounding of the top and bottom edges.
The forend is a well fitting reproduction, with the proper square reciever piece that holds nice and snug at the rear & a barrel band on the front to hold it securely. Sporter rolling block style.
No idea if trigger is original haven't looked at the gun in months. Don't recall if it has an extractor.
For asking I'll include a fat firing pin blank for you to FIT Yourself. There's data online about how much firing pin protrusion these require.
The reciever would match the barrels blue if you cold blue, rust blue or hot blue it. Hell if you are lazy just paint the damn thing semi gloss.
No internal springs. Will need the block lifter part, boomerang shape and a trigger return & mainspring. Cheap parts $10-30 each usually.
A antique rifle of this magnitude can be $1000-1400 if ready to fire. As any Joe blow can buy it with NO PAL required by law.
Yes I do have 1 piece of brass or ammo that was spun down carefully from 50-70/50-90 gov to fit the chamber.
*** if I get bored & blue the receiver & round the buttstock edges I will be asking $100-150 more.
*** It could be reamed to 28 GA too but then it would lose antique status and become a $300-600 *NR rifled slug gun. Don't ream it to 28GA if you don't have a PAL, unless you want a tour of the prison gates.
