US Navy Accepted * Springfield 1870 Rolling Block

Antique. No PAL. No transfer. Manufactured 1870. In 50-45CF. 50-70s father. Bores .5135-515 I believe. 100% functional. Has a block lifter but not installed in the trigger guard group yet. Test fired with a brass shim in place of no block lifter installed. Fired a primer & will fire a round. 

Better photos & a test fire coming in 2-3 days. Busy week.  

I've also got a 12.7 CF that I'll be listing for $850-950+ too. Needs some final touches. It includes 1 piece of brass too. Also NO PAL as it's a pre 1890 manufactured gun in an acceptable caliber. 

Bore is well rifled. Easily a 8-9/10 for 156 years old. Has both front & rear sights. Has a forend barrel band, doubt it's original no idea what model or make the band is. 

Can't remember if it doesn't have an ejecter or if I removed it. I'll have to check. I've also got 2-3 sand casted ejecters anyway as templates, some slide in and fit. 

$1075 + Ship is my ask price. These are VERY rare less than 360 made in a carbine less 23".  Most of which were rejected and most were 28-30 something inches long. This is a 21-23" carbine length. 

One of my prized possessions. Most historically significant gun I own. No cheap ass offers. No trades. Need cash, have plenty of "stuff" already. 

Forend is a modified Enfield stock. Buttstock is an original. Most the parts are original. The block pin is NOT original as you can see it's shiny. 

Has the mark on the barrel as an accepted and not rejected by US GOV Navy. 

Not a 50-70 will not accept 50-70 length brass. 5070 or 5090 must be shortened.

Yes Retailers sell 50-70 & 50-90 brass. You just gotta figure the exact case length needed. I got 1 piece kicking around somewhere I'll include. You can trim to that size or shorter.
