Army & Navy Co-operative Society Limited Rook Rifle chambered in .300 Rook, built on a commercial Cadet-frame Martini action, the 27” round barrel with flat top, file cut for the first 6” to the rear sight & 4” behind the front sight, fitted with 1 standing (50) & 2 leaf folding (marked 100 & 150) rear sight, with platinum centre lines on each), together with a very shallow barleycorn front sight.  Chequered pistol-hand stock with L.O.P. of 14 ¼”; the rifle’s fore-end is also chequered.  Safety knob is present on the right hand side of the rifle’s receiver.  The action’s lever, which retains a small amount of colour ends in a nice ball.  A Silver initial oval is fitted 4” ahead of the polished steel butt-plate, which features a nose cap ending over the nicely-figured butt-stock’s heel.  The receiver’s sides contain a minimal amount of engraving.  Pre-1904 Birmingham Proof Marks are in evidence at the top left side of the barrel ahead of the receiver face [Birmingham Proof, 300 10-80 (denoting the chambering as well as the service charge of 10 grains of Cadet powder with an 80 grain bullet)].  Army & Navy factory records indicate the rifle was received by them in November 1904 & originally sold to F. Wilkins, Esq. in September 1905 for the princely sum of L5.  Based on the manufacturers’ [NOT the retailer’s number, ie. Army & Navy Co-operative Society Ltd.] serial number shown in the records, I believe it was manufactured by Webley & Scott, but I am unable to decipher A&N’s cost code.  Photos of the record page will be included with the purchase.

Accessories included: Lee 0.300” bullet sizer die., CH-4D 3 die set w/ shellholder, 56 1F Bertram brass.  $1,700.00, plus actual Canada Post expedited, fully insured shipping.

Should you require additional photos, please send your email address as photos to cell-phone are not available to me.

Thanks for looking.

NOTE:  The rifle is NOT chambered for .32 S&W Long, but there is no option for a .300 Rook chambering.

Selling as I recently passed the Three Score & Ten, so it's time to down-size.
