Wanted: I Need a cougar stopper!

We just moved to an acre in the woods and we are getting  chickens, and we have pets and  a creek nearby and there has been cougars in the neighbourhood in the past, and my wife said “get me a shotgun” ( best wife ever) looking for something easy, light, quick and inexpensive in a 12 gauge.

I am located in Fanny Bay, but can pick up anywhere between Campbell River and Nanaimo
