This is a fine example of early 20th Century gun makers art. It was manufactured in 1909 by the renowned Parker Brothers of Meridian, Connecticut, and is of 20 gauge. It is classified as a takedown model.
The action locks tight with no signs of looseness. The bores are bright and shiny, with no signs of pitting or rust, as are the chambers. There is a small chip on the toe of the stock and the butt plate. The top of the stock has a small "dimple." The grip plate has the original Parker Brothers logo. Also there is a small engraved shield with the letters "WBY" in what is probably the original owner's initials. Considering its age the wood is in very good to excellent condition. This is a well cared for firearm.
The leather carrying case shows the normal amount of wear that is indicative of its age.
The firearm has a tang safety and double triggers. The barrel has a bead front sight.
