Built Left Handed Remington 1100 Trap Gun

This was a project that I put together myself and I am very pleased with the results.

This shotgun started as a proper Left handed field gun with a 28" barrel with a fixed modified choke and a 2 3/4" chamber with a round count of aproximately 200

I upgraded the gun for trap shooting as follows:

• The standard wood was replaced it with a Trico-West synthetic stock set with an adjustable cheek plate (these are nearly impossible to find in Canada)
• The old worn out recoil pad with one of the newer Kick-Ezz recoil pad for better recoil managment
• A larger mid-bead was installed
• a Left handed "Save it" shell catcher was installed (for policing hulls when shooting singles)
• a downward deflection stud was installed in the barrel extension. (This ensures that when the shell catcher is not engaged the hulls are ejected downward and away from neighboring shooters on the line)

I also assembled a spare prats kit which contains:

• a spare Left handed "Save it" shell catcher with adhesive strips (these can be very hard to find)
• several spare O-ring
• a spare magazine cap with sling swivel installed (a hold over from its field days)
• a new style gas-ring assembly
• Two actions springs with associated stops & plugs

This became my main trap gun for both singles & doubbles trap, until I upgraded to a proper Left handed Browning 725 Trap, and now it just collects dust.

I put about 1,500 trap rounds through this gun and it functioned very well and has a lot of life left!!

While I appreciate that everyone wants a good deal, please keep in mind that I am into this package for well over $2,500 and feel I have it reasonabley priced
