This 'Coat, Combat, Man's, Lightweight' and 'Trousers, Combat, Men's, Lightweight' are in the Canadian version of the 'Disruptive Pattern' camouflage pattern and were introduced circa 1974-1975 by the Canadian Army on a trials basis with certain units (the 1st Battalion of the Royal Canadian Regiment being among them). These trials ended in the mid-1980's with the 'Disruptive Pattern' coat and trousers failing to get adopted. Large quantities of both were then given as military aid to the Tanzanian military.

The 'Coat, Combat, Man's, Lightweight' is in excellent unissued condition with all buttons present. The shoulder width is approximately 19 inches and the sleeve length approximately 24.5 inches. There is a white manufacturer's tag to the inside of the bottom of the back of the collar with a handwritten '6' in black marker. It features a 6-button fly, single button cuffs, an exterior mid-waist adjustment drawcord, a bottom adjustment drawcord, 2 small slanted chest pockets with single button flaps, 2 large hip cargo pockets with single button flaps (each with 2 drainage grommets), and 2 buttoned shoulder straps.

The 'Trousers, Combat, Men's, Lightweight' are in excellent unissued condition with all buttons present and the zipper functional. There is a white manufacturer's tag to the inside of the back of the waistband with a handwritten '5' in black marker. The waistband is approximately 36.5 inches and the inseam approximately 28.5 inches. The hems are adjustable via drawcords. They feature a zippered fly with a single button at the top, 6 belt loops, 2 large side cargo pockets with single button flaps (each with 2 drainage grommets), 2 slash hip pockets with single button flaps, and a right seat pocket with single-button flap.
