Purchased NIB Browning Father/Son set of rifles that included a new fitted double gun case . The rifles arrived in factory boxes including secondary packaging but the stock of one rifle had several scratches . The case arrived with a series of rips , scuffs and compressions . When I contacted Darrell he said Canada Post was responsible for damages to fitted case but the scratches on rifle was caused by the case's poor design and he cautioned me to wrap the stocks in cloth so the iron sight . I wish the scratches were disclosed to me prior to me buying .
Canada Post denied the claim on the damaged case because the case was packed in a home made / altered box that had no rigid corners or secondary packaging i.e. bubble wrap or Styrofoam peanuts . Canada post website says packages need to be able to with stand drops of 3 & 4 feet.
When I last spoke to Darrell about the matter , he said it a nutshell my problem.
