This is my first M77. I was happy to see the Mauser action and appreciated the old school build...nice piece of wood and the bluing is still deep despite years in the field. Curious tho', the barrel is smack up againt the stock...there is no gap to allow a free-floating barrel...have to check but I believe these were purposely built that way.
The rifling is excellent, it looks like the rifle was well maintained.
A little wear around the trigger guard which is normal, but nothing a little aluminum black won't resolve.
Trigger breaks at 5.5 lbs +/- .
All in all, very happy with my purchase...can't wait to take her out in the spring. Don't hesitate to purchase from this member...he's on the up and up.
