I was worried the scope would be a little banged up because of its age (30 yrs+) but it was in remarkable shape...no dings, chips, scratches or anodizing missing at all. The only indication of usage was the areas on the tube that showed grit embedment from the scope rings, but that is a common occurance with scopes from that time because of the practice of putting grit between the rings and scope body to prevent slippage.
The seller held back sending the scope until the strike was over so it wouldn't sit in some warehouse for a couple of months. The packaging was exempliary and it arrived in a timely manner.

Super easy to deal with, VERY modest about the condition of the rifle. Nearly anyone would call it 'like new' this dude is talking about scuffs I can't find to save my life. Packaging was thoughtful and thorough. Included unmentioned bits as well (manual, chamber flag, sling parts etc). Actual gun stores frequently do a worse job.
