Be careful with this seller, knowingly tried to sell me a 'original' 1894 winchester lever action claimed made in 1896-1897 but serial states made in 1898. Seller was dishonest about the 'original' part as the rifle was pieced together and the only thing that was in fact original was the receiver and rear wood stock, Seller withheld vital info on the rifle knowing the barrel, the ammo tube, the front sight, and the front wood all being replaced and only shared the front site and checkering on the wood as not being original.
Seller supplied pictures prior to making a deal but would not show anything but the receiver and rear wood as he knew everything else was not of period time or original as he claimed!
Seller led me to believe this rifle was original not made up of spare parts pieced together!! and def not worth what was agreed would be paid as he made it seem the rifle was worth much more!! This was not a old rifle, this was simply a old receiver while everything else was modern!
The rest of the rifle was replaced in the late 1950's or 1960's. Thankfully the original owner contacted me before the transaction was completed and I lost a large amount of cash!
He deserves no stars if he cannot be honest to buyers!
Withholding fact of a rifle is dishonest and deceitful, not a good way to be a seller by scamming others of our hard earned money!! AVOID this guy!
I purchased a 308xlr Marlin lever action from John , I talked to him on the phone and he was a very honest man ... i would defiantly deal with him again ...
John sold me a lever action rifle that when it arrived it was exactly as discribed in his Gunpost ad. The rifle was well packed and protected . I would buy agian from this seller.
