Bought a 1893 Marlin carbine. Jim answers fast and ships fast too, well packaged. Rifle cycles and fires flawlessly. Good shooter.
The reason for the 3 stars is that I wasn’t told that the stock had been sanded off, which Jim later on confirmed to have been aware of, as well as the metal steel-wooled (obvious scrubbing marks on receiver). Paid a decent price for the rifle, but definitely too much for one that doesn’t have any collectible value left. I was told that it was likely that the only non-original part on the rifle was the rear sight (which indeed is), but when you add the wood and the bluing, it’s not the same game anymore…
Will still deal again with seller, but will ask many more questions and for more pictures.
