short story: paid him 120 for shipping on a rifle I bought from this guy but he only paid less than 40 dollars on shipping, package was lost, and he won't even give me back the 100 dollars insurance from Canada Post just ghosted me completely
full story: In March, I purchased a Type 81 LMG custom build from this guy paid him $2,450, and at that time, he quoted me a $120 shipping fee. Two months later, Canada Post informed me that the package was lost. When I contacted Canada Post, I found out that he only paid $32 for shipping, using the cheapest regular parcel option. When I asked him why he charged me so much for shipping but only spent $32, he made excuses, saying the rest of the money was spent on packaging and a trigger lock.
Since I have many transactions on GP each month, I knew he was lying. However, because I didn't explicitly ask for shipping insurance at the time, I accepted the loss. Later, I only asked him to refund me $100 from the basic insurance and the shipping cost that Canada Post refunded him, and he agreed. Over the past two months, he has made various excuses and delayed refunding me. Sometimes he doesn't reply to my messages on GunPost, and other times he finds different reasons not to refund me. Two weeks ago, he confirmed that he had received the insurance fee from Canada Post and promised to refund me. He even asked for my transfer information, but for the past two weeks, he has stopped responding again.
I even suspect that Canada Post has already returned the package to him, but I have no proof because Canada Post refuses to disclose any information to me since I'm not the sender of the package.
this is the worst experience I've had on gunpost, ever. it's not just about money this guy has been lying since the very beginning of the transaction. this scam has been reported to the police and authorities already and I will definitely not let him get away from this.
again, if you don't wanna be scammed, do not deal with this guy
