I deliberated a long time before leaving this feedback...Epilone was fast to ship, pleasant, and reasonable to deal with until the point that he wasn't. The bottom line is he sold me a gun that has a defective safety and has severely damaged and/or missing ring mount screws.I can look past the damaged and missing ring hardware as I had no intention to use the scope that came furnished on the rifle however if I was someone who was counting on the scope/rings being serviceable to them then I would have very disappointed by their condition.
The safety is a different matter altogether. A rifle that does not have a properly functioning safety should not be sold or at the very least its condition should be fully disclosed to the prospective buyer.
When these issues were brought to the sellers attention a suggestion was made to try to clean and lubricate the safety and that as far as he was concerned the deal is concluded. He has made no offers of correction nor compensation and all communication has since ceased.
I have extensive pictures to show the issue is beyond simply cleaning/lubricating and will likely need a gunsmith or at the least new parts and possibly a trigger group to resolve properly.
Good to deal with. Fast to reply and to ship only reason i gave him 4 stars instead of 5 was because he said scope was new in the box and it was mounted because it had scope ring marks on it. not a big deal scope works fine.
